What our delete software solutions involve
All of our AdBlue, DPF and EGR deletes are software only. We don't physically remove parts from the vehicle in the workshop. The work is done through the engine control unit, and most jobs take around 45–60 minutes, so you can usually wait while it's done.
One important point on DPF deletes: the DPF delete itself is software only, but a physical exhaust modification is still required for it to work. We'll explain exactly what your vehicle needs before any work starts.
Before we change anything, we save your vehicle's original software. That means the work can be reversed later if you need it to be.

Why the quality of the software matters
Not every delete is the same. Over years of testing and research, Mac Tuning has developed its own software for most vehicles, and every job is custom for the specific vehicle in front of us rather than a generic file loaded on and left.
With delete work, you get what you pay for. We often correct poor deletes that have been done elsewhere, where the vehicle has been left with warning lights, odd running or software that simply hasn't been set up properly for that model. Doing it properly the first time saves a second trip.

North Herts
Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock, Royston and Knebworth are all close to the workshop. It's straightforward to drop in, wait while the work is done and be back on the road the same morning or afternoon.
East Herts
We work with drivers from Hertford, Ware, Buntingford and Bishop's Stortford. Buntingford is just a few miles from Ardeley, and the rest of East Herts is an easy run up to the workshop.
Central Herts and Welwyn Hatfield
Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield drivers can reach us quickly via the A1(M), and most jobs are done in a single visit.
St Albans and Harpenden
We welcome drivers from St Albans and Harpenden. If you're comparing options locally, it's worth asking any provider whether the software is developed for your specific vehicle, and whether the original file is saved.
West Herts
Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring are further from the workshop, but plenty of drivers from West Herts make the trip because they want the job done properly once. With most jobs taking 45–60 minutes, it fits into a single visit.
South Herts
Drivers from Potters Bar, Cheshunt and Borehamwood are welcome too, including anyone who needs a poor delete done elsewhere put right. Again, it's a single visit for most vehicles.
Beyond Hertfordshire

AdBlue, DPF and EGR deletes are intended for off-road and motorsport use. These modifications may affect your vehicle's road legality, MOT and insurance, so please check your own situation before going ahead.
Frequently asked questions
Do you physically remove the DPF, EGR valve or AdBlue system?
No. Our deletes are software only. For a DPF delete, a physical exhaust modification is still required for the software to work, and we'll explain what's needed for your vehicle.

Can the work be reversed?
